David Cross began his career as a stand-up comedian, eventually making his way to Hollywood to write for The Ben Stiller Show, a wickedly satirical enterprise that, like all great things, came to a swift end after only one season. It was Cross' next endeavor, Mr. Show with Bob and David, that brought him to the forefront. As co-writer, producer and performer, Cross and partner Bob Odenkirk enjoyed four increasingly successful seasons on HBO, ending the series in the late '90s to re-focus their attention on two Mr. Show related movies.

Cross and Odenkirk recently took Mr Show on the road, following the release of the series' first two seasons on DVD. He released his first CD, the two disc set Shut Up You Fucking Baby, on SubPop Records.

Cross has appeared in a host of screen roles, including NewsRadio, The Drew Carey Show and Just Shoot Me, as well as The Truth About Cats and Dogs, Ghost World, Scary Movie II, The Cable Guy, Men in Black II, Small Soldiers and Martin & Orloff, among others. He can currently be seen on Fox's Arrested Development.
